Summer Day Trip Itinerary

Located just 2 hours north of Boston, Waterville Valley is the perfect White Mountains day trip destination. Whether you’re looking to conquer one of our 4000-foot peaks or just explore the town, we have an adventure for everyone.

9am: Arrive in Waterville Valley early to make the most of your day. Stop into Jugtown before you head out on your adventure and grab some snacks or lunch to enjoy while you’re out on the trail.

9:15am: Take a hike! With 125 miles of trail to explore, Waterville Valley has a hike for every ability level. Choose a 4000-footer or two, or opt for an easier stroll in the woods. Whichever adventure you choose, it’s sure to be a beautiful one.

Not looking to hike? We have plenty of other activities to choose from like golf, tennis, scenic chairlift rides, and so much more. You could also choose to spend your day by renting a boat to paddle around Corcoran Pond and relaxing pond-side on the beach soaking up the summer sun.

3:00pm: Return to Town Square. Grab a bite on the deck at Legend’s to refuel for some riverside dining.

4:00pm: Watch live music in Town Square. Every weekend beginning at 3pm we have live music in the Town Square Gazebo. Pull up a chair, crack open a beer or soda and enjoy the show before heading home.
