Waterville Valley is a place to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with the family. And there is plenty of time to do all of that as well as take advantage of all the activities we have to offer. Below is a sampling of the many things to do each day, many are free with the Waterville Valley Freedom Pass.

Craving new discoveries? Start your valley exploration at the Adventure Center! Conveniently located in Town Square, the Adventure Center is the base camp for many of Waterville’s most thrilling activities, including cross country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing in the winter and mountain biking, hiking, and skateboarding in the summer! Need to grab a few last minutes items before you head out on the trail? Pick them up here and make sure you are properly equipped for the road ahead. Very professional staff of the Adventure Center will always be happy to help you with setting equipment, getting around, and making sure you are enjoying your time.
Rent a bike at the Adventure Center and cruise around the Valley, or cut through the woods and explore a variety of trails for all abilities through the National Forest. Everything from meandering dirt roads to gnarly single-track is available.
Chair Lift Rides (Summer)
Located on Boulder Path Road (past the Tennis Courts), Snow's Mountain Chairlift offers something for everyone. Take a relaxing, scenic round trip ride, or the more adventurous can take the chairlift up to the top with a bike and head down a variety of trails for all abilities through the National Forest. Everything from meandering dirt roads to gnarly single-track is available. Open during the fall season Weekends and holidays 10am - 3:45pm.
The Waterville Valley Ice Arena is located at the center of activity adjacent to the Town Square on the shores of Corcoran Pond. The Ice Arena offers numerous public skating and stick and puck sessions throughout the week. Rental skates and skate sharpening services are available. The Arena is home to the Hockey Academy and hosts many youth hockey tournaments and camps. Private ice rentals are available upon request.

The Waterville Valley Tennis Center is listed as a Gold Medal Resort in the annual tennisresortsonline.com, rankings earning a Top 25 in the World distinction. Waterville Valley offers 18 clay courts that are swept morning and noon every day and kept in top condition. USPTA Director/Owner Tom Gross, Jr offers group and private lessons, and assistant pros instruct the junior clinics offered every morning. Casual daily round robins and our fun Wednesday night socials on our deck overlooking the surrounding mountains compliment your stay. Game matching available, full pro shop, attire and services available. Available to Freedom Pass holders.
A family-friendly, scenic 9-hole course. Par 31 layout with three par 4 holes provides a challenging golf experience for players of all abilities.
The Vertical Zone: Climbing Tower & Bungee Trampoline (Summer)
Adventures in Town Square are climbing to all new heights! Joining our fleet of new summer activities is a brand new Vertical Zone equipped with an Outdoor Climbing Tower and a Bungee Trampoline.

In the Valley, you're never far from water. From the variety of pools at our lodging properties, to the indoor and outdoor pools at the White Mountain Athletic Club. There's Corcoran's Pond, just a few steps from Town Square and a short walk from your lodging property. You can dive in, or just sit on the sandy beach and watch the kids play. And if you're feeling more adventurous, take a dip in one of the many natural swimming holes just a short drive away!
The Rey Cultural Center
Margret and H.A. Rey, authors of the Curious George children’s books, were summer residents of Waterville Valley. The Reys were artists and adventurers, historians and naturalists, gardeners and stewards. Today their pursuits live on in the Margret and H.A. Rey Center at the Curious George Cottage in Waterville Valley (the Reys’ former summer home). The Rey Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization that honors the Reys’ spirit of curiosity and discovery by increasing understanding of and participation in art, science and nature programs for youth, adults and families.
White Mountain Athletic Club
A modern, four-season recreational facility for vacationers, property owners, and local townspeople in Waterville Valley and the greater Waterville Valley area.
While visiting Waterville Valley, we invite you to explore our many recreational offerings including pools, saunas, steam rooms, cardio room, fitness classes and tennis courts.
Join us this summer with our new outdoor aquatic center which encompasses The Splash Pad - a 1,600 square foot water soaking fun filled pad filled with splash toys for kids of all ages! The perfect way to entertain the kids while Mom and Dad sit by the new 62,000 gallon outdoor pool complete with lap lanes, lounge areas and a unique outdoor pool temperature spa overlooking the majestic 4,000 foot mountains. Cabaña service available serving food and beverages. What a great way to start, spend, or finish your day here in the valley! Available to Freedom Pass holders.
Yoga classes at Town Square is a mindfulness movement flow. ‘Open-Levels’ Vinyasa or Hatha styles. Experience what’s it’s like to open, engage, align and expand. At the end, relax in Savasana (rest pose) with Tibetan singing bowl and therapeutic sound. All classes are beginner friendly.

The Town Recreation Department offers a full slate of daily activities for all ages, including day camps, rock climbing, art programs, ice cream socials and family bingo. Supervised programs are always age appropriate with great staff-to-children ratios. Programs and activities for those with disabilities are also available.
A racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Natives: FREE. Guests: $4 Become a Native at the WV Rec! Dialy cost: $5. Annual Cost: $25/youth, $30/Adult, $95/family of 5.
