SCAVENGER HUNT

The Waterville Valley Historical Society is once again hosting a valley-wide scavenger hunt during the month of August. The goal of the hunt is to showcase all the fun, quirky, and wonderful places and things to do that make Waterville Valley such a special place to work, live and play in.

The Hunt challenges participants to successfully locate all 25 sites throughout Waterville Valley. Participants are to take photos of each location, show their photos to the Recreation Department, and collect their prizes!

1. A “disarmed” statue on West Branch Road
2. Trailhead sign for an “Intelligent” Brook Trail
3. Remains of bridge over Snows Brook (lost during hurricane Irene)
4. Waterville Valley’s Ruin
5. Previous home of Waterville Valley Elementary School
6. “Bench with a view” at the Waterville Cemetery’s Waterville Glen
7. A bike riding on a chairlift
8. Any Disc Golf Basket
9. A Covered Wagon
10. A giant mattress that encourage skiers to “jump on the bed”
11. The Waterville Valley Boat House
12. Sign for Specialist Marc P. Decoteau Memorial Highway
13. Giant “Welcome To Waterville Valley” sign
14. Motor Boat on a small pond
