12TH ANNUAL COLD TURKEY PLUNGE
TO BENEFIT WATERVILLE VALLEY ADAPTIVE SPORTS
Join the Grand Gobbler and his Flock of Fine Feathered, Fowl Friends for the 12th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge to Benefit Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports on Saturday November 30th at Corcoran Pond in beautiful Waterville Valley, NH. As always, your efforts will be rewarded with an official Plunge Shirt, and other incentives and goodies! Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised (team & individual) and the best costume (team & individual). Costumes are encouraged but optional. Having fun is not optional, it is required!
Santa arrives soon after the Plunge and the Town Square will be rocking and decorated for a fantastic holiday season kick-off. It is always a "don't miss" event!
All Plungers are required to raise a minimum of $50 in donations.

Following the Cold Turkey Plunge, Santa will arrive in Town Square bearing gifts and candy for each child who comes to visit. Parents are welcome to take photos of their children with Santa.
A Tree Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks Show will follow Santa visits! Enjoy the winter ambiance of Town Square, explore cozy shops, and watch the night sky come to life with a dazzling firework display!

Waterville Valley Resort proudly welcomes the return of the Freestyle World Cup on January 24-25th, 2025! As the birthplace of freestyle skiing, Waterville Valley Resort will host the world’s most talented freestyle mogul skiers for a second time as they complete for gold. The 2025 World Cup will take place on Lower Bobby's Run, a beloved double-black diamond run spanning 246 meters long with a pitch of 28 degrees. This eastern-facing course is perfect for mogul-style events, especially considering the expansive viewing area towards the bottom of the run.
This prestigious event marks Waterville's second time hosting a Freestyle World Cup event, you won’t want to miss out on the competition of a lifetime!

Come join us for a hands-on Wilderness First Aid course with WVAIA on November 2nd & 3rd. This is a course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. It meets American Camp Association guidelines.
What Is Taught?
The WFA Course is 16 hours long (2 days) and focuses on the basic skills of Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries & Medical Emergencies.
Who Is Teaching?

Waterville's 2nd Annual Schwendi Fest is taking place on October 13th! This mountain-top extravaganza celebrates the stunning foliage season while looking ahead to ski season! Enjoy a scenic chairlift ride up Tecumseh Express and treat yourself to a Schwendi Hutte BBQ, and drinks. There will be plenty of family-friendly games and activities -water balloon launches, treasure hunts, musical chairs, and more! We'll be firing up the Schwendi Hutte BBQ, grilling burgers, hot dogs, and bratwursts! Hot apple cider (spiked and unspiked), beer, and wine will be available for purchase. If you're staying in the valley, you can hop on the resort trolley and ride it up to the ski resort!
Wear a cozy sweater, sip on some hot apple cider, bring the kids to paint pumpkins, and take in mountainous foliage views, all from 3,600’ elevation. Whether you’re looking to leaf-peep, enjoy quality family time, or simply sit on the Schwendi Hutte deck and crack open a cold one - there’s no better place to spend your long weekend!

Skip the lines and pick up your ticket ahead of time! Stop by the Waterville Valley Resort Welcome Center and pick up your Schwendi Fest tickets! Tickets will be available for pickup Friday (10/4) - Saturday (10/12) at the Welcome Center. Beginning Sunday (10/13), tickets will ONLY be available for pickup at the Ski Resort Ticket Window. Once you pick up your tickets from the Welcome Center, you can head straight to the lift on Sunday!

Seating may be limited - we encourage you to bring picnic blankets (no lawn chairs will be allowed on the chairlift).
ADULT BEVERAGES
Please be aware that, in accordance with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules & regulations, outside alcohol cannot be consumed at the summit. Given this rule is a stipulation of our liquor liscene, we will be strictly enforcing this policy. Coolers will not be allowed on the chairlift. You'll be able to purchase alcoholic beverages from the Schwendi Hutte. If you're planning on enjoying some adult beverages during Schwendi Fest, please remember to bring your government-issued I.D.

10 MILE TRAIL RACE
10 Mile Trail Race Looking for a scenic and challenging fall trail race in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest? During peak foliage, you will be treated to a combination of forested single and double track trails. Start in Town Square and head over to Snow’s Mountain, work your way up to the top of the chair lift for amazing views of Mt. Tecumseh & Mt. Osceola. Enjoy the mostly downhill stretch for the next several miles, smaller roller coaster hills keep it interesting for the remainder of the race. Finish with a loop around the pond, bringing you back to the heart of Town Square. The annual Fall Foliage Fest will be in full swing to add to your celebrations! Register soon, the 2024 10 mile race is capped at 75 runners

ADAPTIVE SUMMER CYCLING SERIES

Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports is partnering with UNH’s Northeast Passage to host the Second Annual Adaptive Summer Cycling Series on July 27th, August 10th August 17th, September 14th, and October 5th! Please come join our athletes, their families and volunteers - Ride the trails, enjoy the beauty of Waterville Valley and meet some amazing people!
From recumbents to hand bikes, with lots of possibilities in between, participants will be provided with an adaptive cycle suited to their individual needs for a morning or afternoon of cycling fun partnered with our awesome volunteers. Each Saturday of the series we will be running two sessions: from 10:00AM-12:00PM and from 1:00PM-3:00PM. The cost is $30 per morning or afternoon session. Veterans ride free!

Waterville Valley restaurants compete in Town Square for the title of the best chili in the Valley! With your admission fee, you’ll get to sample of every restaurant’s chili and cast your vote to a chili ballot.
FEE: $7.50 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.
Along side the chili will be the 12th Annual Rally in the Valley all vehicle show, presented by the East Coast Camaro Club. Awards, and 50/50 raffle. $20 donation; proceeds to benefit a charity. Registration at gate. Rain or shine.
