With an abundance of activities and year-round thrills, Waterville Valley is an outdoor recreation oasis. The Valley is home to several summer camps, each with unique offerings, activities, and schedules.
RECREATION DEPARTMENT camps
AGES 5-15
Waterville Valley Recreation Department operates several summer day camps for kids ages 5-15. Each camp offers different programs and activities. See below for more details on each camp. General registration opens on March 18 at 10am. Scholarship opportunities are available through The Douglas Dicenzo Camp Fund.

“Waterville Instruction in Nature and Games” A typical day includes a variety of organized games, crafts, cooking, outdoor exploration and play. This program offers a variety of activities ideal for active youngsters ~ A story time rest offered after lunch!

“Summer Outdoor Adventures in Recreation”. The SOAR program includes a variety of outdoor excursions such as swimming, hiking, canoeing, boating, active games, crafts, indoor climbing wall, and more. A vast amount of time is spent outdoors; ideal for kids that enjoy exploring and playing!

“Heightened Adventures With Kids” has tons to offer this active age group! HAWK will get accustomed to adventuring in and around the valley on foot, in boats, on bikes, etc. They will participate in indoor climbing, group games/activities, tennis, cooking lessons, art and up their game in hiking.

“Positive Environmental Activities for Kids” is a perfect program for this age. PEAK actively explores a variety of natural environments throughout the valley and surrounding areas. Hiking, biking, discovering new swimming holes, indoor climbing, tennis and kayaking are examples of a day-in-the-life as a PEAK’er.

The final week of camp is field trip-based. Campers will travel to local attractions and beaches for some fun before back-to-school hits!

“Summer Upon the Mountains Moving Independent Teens” is packed with action and field trip-based. Each SUMMIT session is different and runs Tuesday - Thursday (includes all field trip fees). Note: Session 1 Week 2 will run Wednesday - Friday.

Our Counselor in Training Program is for teens interested in becoming a camp counselor for WVRD. They will be active participants in helping out in a specific camp group.
MY FIRST CAMP
AGES 3-5
The Rey Cultural Center operates "My First Camp", a summer day camp for little explorers! This nature camp will engage your child's natural curiosity about the world around them and encourage wonder, creation, and discovery. Camp duration varies, sign up for 1 week, 2 weeks, or up to 7 weeks! Each week offers something different, with programs featuring hands-on nature experiences, games, and art activities. For levels and abilities, New England Tennis Holidays creates a fun and challenging tennis experience. Each clinic day includes 5 hours of tennis school and lunch daily. We offer a variety of tennis packages, ranging from 2 to 5 days, with the option of staying at one of Waterville Valley’s popular lodging venues.

CREATIVE ADVENTURERS CLUB
The award-winning Theatre Under The Stars presents The Creative Adventurers Club, an innovative “Outward Bound for the Arts”. This multi-disciplinary art, sport and recreation camp is a 2 week-long day camp where kids age 5-16 explore various art mediums geared to the interests of the kids we have that summer, guided by adult teaching artists working in those fields. Past camps have explored poetry, creative writing, filmmaking,Shakespeare, theater, dance, musical instruments, stage combat, playwriting, singing, songwriting and the visual arts. Together the adult mentors and kid adventurers engage in nature, recreational and arts activities; exploring all the various ways that the inspiring beauty of the natural surroundings of Waterville Valley fuels the artistic expressions of the soul. At the end of camp, the campers present a multi-art production that is always the highlight of the theatre's season!
CAMP RUNS 10-2 MON-SAT EACH WEEK! AS THE CAMP EXPERIENCE IS PROGRESSIVE, CUMULATIVE AND WORKS TOWARDS A FINAL NIGHT PRODUCTION, KIDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO BOTH WEEKS BUT ONE WEEK ATTENDANCE IS ALLOWED IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
Camp is $450 but, in SPC Marc Paul Decoteau's name, NO CHILD IS TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF ABILITY TO PAY. For scholarship info or camp info call 603 960 2685. WVBBTS Summer Camps
WVBBTS hosts several training camps throughout the summer.

May 25th - 27th, 2024
Memorial Day Camp camp is open to all athletes with an emphasis on Groms (2015 and up) and athletes who are new to summer bagging. Experienced athletes are always welcome!
This is an excellent camp to come and see what WVBBTS Bag & Tramp camps are all about.

June 22nd - 23rd 2024
New! All Girls Freestyle, Freeski, and Snowboard camp coached by female coaches to allow Female athletes to come together, make new friends, and Learn new skills in a controlled and safe environment.

July 22nd - July 26th, 2024
Campers, who are led by Coach Tom Barbeau, will use activities such as rollerblading, mountain biking, swimming, and team competitions to enhance their fitness level. They will also take part in a wide variety of conditioning exercises based on the Burdenko Method of training.

Join the team at WVBBTS for Summer Bagging and Trampoline training! All camps will take place on the WVA Campus, utilizing the Phil’s Hill Training Center and Thomas Barbeau Training Center. Summer training is key to learning new tricks in a safe and controlled environment before the winter season

Athletes are coached using the latest techniques to strengthen fundamentals and address individual areas of improvement. Summer skiing is the perfect time to dial in your skills in order to build a strong foundation for ski racing success.

Located on the spectacular glacier and snowfields of Mt. Hood, our summer training camp provides an optimum opportunity for skiers and riders to advance their on-snow and acrobatic skills.
