Memorial Day Weekend in the Valley
Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer season. Here in Waterville Valley, this festivity is NOT taken lightly. We're celebrating the summer season all weekend long - with live outdoor concerts, a food festival, a live animal exhibition, and a youth fishing derby.
SATURDAY, MAY 28TH
Youth Fishing Derby - Castin' For Kirby
Join the Recreation Department on the shores of Corcoran Pond for their 12th Annual Youth Fishing Derby. Any kid under the age of 15 can participate in the challenge. There will be over $1000 worth of prizes, plus face painting, DIY t-shirts, and more ! Age groups will have staggered start times, with 7 & under beginning at 8:30, and ages 8-15 beginning at 8:45. The pond is stocked with trout prior to the event, so there will be no shortage of fish!
FEE: $6 registration
Live Outdoor Concert
Following the Derby, Waterville Valley Resort will host a live outdoor concert at the Town Square Gazebo. Bring some friends and some drinks (and enjoy our open container town) and jam to some live music under the shadows of 4000-foot moutain peaks. Henry Laliberte Duo will be performing from 12pm-3pm, and Boneshakerz Trio will be performing from 4pm-7pm. Live outdoor concerts take place Fridays & Saturdays in July & August and select Holiday Sundays.

The winning restaurant is awarded the Golden Clam Trophy and year-long bragging rights!
FEE: $7.50 for adults, $5 for children 12 & under
Live Outdoor Concert
Feast on chowder as the sounds of live music float through the Valley. Live outdoor concerts will take place at the Town Square Gazebo throughout Chowderfest, with performances by 603's Duo. Beginning at 4:30pm, Bob Pratt Trio will take the stage and jam the night away! Given that Monday is a new moon, the stars will be out in full force on Sunday night!
