Independence Day Weekend in Waterville is one of a kind. This year's holiday weekend is jam-packed with fun and festivities, with events for families of all ages. From our lively Hometown Parade and Family Carnival to laid-back live performances, there will be no shortage of merriment and memory-making. So, pack your bags, gather family & friends, and venture into the valley for a spectacular long weekend in the heart of the White Mountains.   

 Thursday, JULY 4th  

HOMETOWN PARADE

Step into the heart of patriotic pride and celebrate the spirit of Waterville at our Independence Day Hometown Parade! Join us as we honor the traditions, values, and heroes that make our community shine. Local businesses and community members design, create, and decorate floats in a friendly competition for the highly coveted Spirit Cup! The town will be filled to the brim with visitors, spectators, locals, and longtime community members. Join the Waterville Family in the parade via bike or scooter, or simply be a pedestrian! Or watch from anywhere along the parade route.

LIVE OUTDOOR CONCERTS 

Chris White Duo will perform a live outdoor concert in Town Square from 12pm-3pm. The Boneshakerz will perform at the Gazebo Stage from 6:30-9:30pm.  

 
 

 
 FIREWORKS IN TOWN SQUARE 

Get ready to be dazzled by a breathtaking firework display set against the stunning backdrop of awe-inspiring mountains and mirrored in the tranquil waters of Corcoran Pond. Join us for an unforgettable evening of magic, wonder, and pure awe at our annual 4th of July Firework Display! The show is best viewed from Town Square

FRIDAY, July 5  

LIVE OUTDOOR CONCERTs

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a cold brew while vibing to a live outdoor concert. Chris White Duo will be taking the Gazebo Stage from 12-3pm, and Bob Pratte Band will perform from 6-9pm in Town Square on Friday evening.
 

 
 
 

 SATURDAY, JULY 6 

FAMILY CARNIVAL 

Step right up and join the Waterville Valley Recreation Department for an afternoon of fun, games, and inflatables. Get ready to bounce, slide, and laugh at the Annual Family Carnival! Kids of all ages run free playing in bouncy houses, slides, inflatable games, field games, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, and more! The Waterville Valley Department of Public Safety will be on-site for Touch-A-Truck! Gather the whole family for a day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments!

LIVE OUTDOOR CONCERTS 

Local musicians will be performing at the Gazebo Stage in Town Square throughout Saturday afternoon. Tandem Chance is performing from 12-3pm and Diversity is taking the stage from 6-9pm. Waterville Valley is an open-container town, so you can relax in the fresh mountain air and jive to live music while sipping on an adult beverage of your choice. 
 

 
 
 
 

 SUNDAY, JULY 7th

 

SUNDAY MORNING CHURCH CHAIR 

Ascend to new heights of serenity and spirituality at Sunday Morning Church Chair, a mountain-top non-denominational church service. Enjoy a complimentary chairlift ride to the top of Snow's Mountain. This summit-top service will leave you inspired, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the week.

ANIMAL ENCOUNTER SERIES 

Families of all ages are welcome to join Squam Lake Science Center on Sunday morning for a live animal presentation - part of their Summer Animal Encounter Series in Waterville Valley. Unveiling the fascinating truth behind misunderstood creatures, expert naturalists will display "Animals with Bad Reputations". Myths will be debunked, stereotypes will be shattered, and the extraordinary beauty and significance of these animals will be revealed!
