FIREWORKS
Close out the summer season with a BANG! Waterville's End of Summer Firework Display is an annual favorite, where the dark alpine skies above Town Square come to life with a dazzling display of color and light! Fireworks are taking place on Sunday, September 3rd at 9:30pm, with the best viewing locations being Town Square, Corcoran's Pond Beach, and Packard's Field.

What's Labor Day Weekend without some summer festivities? Join us in Waterville Valley for a weekend chock-full of events, games, gatherings, and celebrations!
SATURDAY
FAMILY CHALK ART FESTIVAL
Hosted by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department, the 4th Annual Chalk Art Festival is an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and fun! Show off your chalk artistry in their annual chalk art contest! Judges will be on-site to choose winners and award prizes! Plus, little ones can enjoy inflatable games, slides, and races ($10/wristband). Taking place Saturday, September 2nd, from 12-3pm.
LIVE MUSIC IN TOWN SQUARE
Enjoy the fresh alpine air and local musicians! Live outdoor concerts will take place throughout the weekend! Grab an adult libation (Waterville Valley is an open container town), relax on the picnic tables, and enjoy musical melodies floating through the mountains! Taking place Saturday, September 2nd (12-3pm & 5-8pm) and Sunday, September 3rd (12-3pm & 5-8pm).
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Stop by the Ice Cream Social for sweet treats and backyard games! Hosted by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department, this evening of indulgence will feature over 15 toppings! Only $6/sundae!
OUTDOOR MOVIE night
Enjoy family movie night under the stars on the expansive and grassy Packard's Field, hosted by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department. Pack some snacks, a blanket, and a lawn chair, for a showing of "Super Mario Brothers" in the fresh alpine air.
SUNDAY
CELLAR HOLE HIKE
Enjoy a 3-mile hike including a visit to the Waterville Cemetery, stops at homesites of some of Waterville’s earliest settlers, and learn various historical facts along the way! The Cellar Hole Hike lasts about 2.5 hours, depending on the number of questions along the way.
GETTING TO KNOW THE VALLEY
Learn about the many organizations and businesses of Waterville Valley! “Getting to Know the Valley” gives locals and visitors the opportunity to get to know the ins and outs of Waterville and the people/businesses who reside here.
END OF SUMMER BASH
Celebrate Labor Day with our End of Summer Bash! We'll be hosting our annual Charity Duck Race - a competition where locals and visitors race rubber ducks across Corcoran's Pond! This contest has a unique twist: these ducks don't simply float across the pond - their voyage is powered by high-pressure fire hoses from the Waterville Valley Department of Public Safety! Winners will receive cash prizes- $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd. There will also be outdoor concerts throughout the afternoon!

aNIMAL ENCOUNTER SERIES – WHY DO ANIMALS DO THAT?
Squam Lakes Science Center is hosting the Animal Encounter Series - Why Do Animals Do That? Join us in the Town Square Lower Courtyard and learn about New Hampshire Wildlife from expert naturalists. Native wildlife ambassadors will show live animal presentations, informing and inspiring children, adults, and families alike.
