Quack it up for Waterville Valley’s End of Summer Bash
Close out summer with a bang by heading to Waterville Valley, New Hampshire this Labor Day weekend. The Valley is hosting an End of Summer Bash for families on Sunday, September 1, from 12 noon to 9 p.m. The event includes free outdoor entertainment, games for all members of the family, and the annual Rubber Duck Race on Corcoran Pond. Contestants have the chance to win cash prizes if their duck is one of the three fastest, and the final duck across the finish line wins something quacky.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy an outdoor concert in the Town Square by the Chris White Duo and Amanda McCarthy Band. The day wraps up with fireworks over Corcoran Pond at 8:30 p.m. After the firework show, pack a cooler, bring a chair or blanket to the beach and enjoy a free family Movie Night with the screening of the movie, “A Dog’s Way Home.” Popcorn and refreshments will be available to purchase.
Make it a weekend getaway to New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Guests who book overnight stays at participating Waterville Valley lodging properties receive a Freedom Pass which provides access to canoe and kayak rentals, tennis, golf, bike rentals, admission to the White Mountain Athletic Club’s aquatic and fitness center, scenic chairlift rides up Snows Mountain, and complimentary trolley rides – more than $100 value per person, per day.
