Fishing Derby this Saturday in Waterville Valley

One of Waterville Valley’s most loved summer traditions is celebrating 10 years at the Corcoran Pond. This Saturday June 15th, the annual Fishing Derby is back and there are fun activities for all ages, from fishing to face painting and live music. 

The fun begins at 8am on Saturday morning with the 10th Annual Casting for Kirby Youth Fishing Derby. The competition is divided between kids aged 7 and under, and children from 8 to 15. The goal is try to catch Corcoran Pond’s elusive Kirby and win a prize. It is a $6 registration fee by Wednesday, June 12th or $10 onsite. This event is known for its big prizes and fun atmosphere located at Waterville Valley Town Square. Register is available here.

 

But that’s not the only thing happening on that day. Family friendly entertainment is also provided, including balloon twisting, face painting, boat rentals (extra fee), story hour by the Rey Center.
