Want to know where to find the best foliage this fall? Come to a valley in the midst of the White Mountain National Forest to enjoy fall colors that have it all, except lines, traffic and crowds. Waterville Valley has a weekend dedicated to the spectacular foliage of the White Mountains, from Saturday, October 12th to Monday, October 14th. This is a weekend celebration of family fun with all kinds of events for everyone including free outdoor concerts, tent sales, a ski swap, 5K road race, 1.6K fun run, 10-mile trail race, and other activities including kid’s games, pumpkin painting, beer sampling and more.
Spend time in the forest, not in your car. Waterville Valley offers miles of hiking and mountain biking in the White Mountain National Forest. Home of the first network of trails in the United States, the Valley is surrounded by towering peaks including five of the White Mountain 4,000 footers. Dozens of hiking trails start in the heart of town and lead to endless destinations including cliffs, waterfalls, flumes, rockslides, and stunning vistas. With trails ranging from old dirt roads to high alpine scrambles and everything in between, there are trails for everyone in Waterville Valley.
Waterville Valley also offers golf, tennis, canoeing and kayaking, all surrounded by brilliant colors. And all right outside your lodge.
Make it a weekend getaway to New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Guests who book overnight stays at participating Waterville Valley lodging properties receive a Freedom Pass which provides access to canoe and kayak rentals, tennis, golf, bike rentals, admission to the White Mountain Athletic Club’s aquatic and fitness center, scenic chairlift rides up Snows Mountain, and complimentary trolley rides – over $100 value per person, per day.
