Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Waterville Valley

Marking the 30th year of chowder in the valley, Waterville Valley will host its annual Chowderfest & Brews on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 26, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Town Square.  Family-friendly, fun and delicious, come sample a variety of chowders from local restaurants.  Vote for your favorite and the winning chowder chef will receive the coveted “Golden Clam Award.” 

 

Pair your chowder with a brew. There will be seasonal New Hampshire beers available for guests 21 and older throughout the afternoon, and an outdoor concert in the square from 12-3 p.m. 

 

And, the day before take a hike, help clean up the slopes of Waterville Valley ski resort and enjoy a special feast. On Saturday May 25 from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. ride the lifts and fill a bag with trash as a ticket to a free Pig Roast BBQ with music, games, food and $1 brews. Gloves and trash bags are provided, lift tickets are free. Meet at the base of the Green Peak Lift at 9:30 a.m.

 

On Monday, May 27, from 10-11 a.m., join a Squam Lakes Natural Science Center wildlife ambassador in Town Square for a family-friendly live animal presentation. 

 

This year the annual Casting for Kirby youth fishing derby will be held on Saturday, June 15, in Waterville Valley.
