Build + Float your own boat at Waterville Valley’s Ugotta Regatta
On Saturday, August 3, Waterville Valley’s Annual Ugotta Regatta returns to the waters of Corcoran Pond.
The fun begins at 9:30 a.m. with a free boat building workshop on Corcoran Pond Beach. All supplies will be provided by the Waterville Valley Recreation Department; or, bring your own. All boats must be made of tape and cardboard. The boat oughtta float competition will take place at 11 a.m.
Enjoy the whole day in Town Square, the Valley’s hub for shopping and dining. After the race, grab lunch at La Tasse Café, La Hacienda Mexicana, Legends or the Olde Waterville Pizza Company. Or pack a picnic for lunch by the pond.
There will be a craft beer sampling from 12-3 p.m. and an outdoor concert with Lil Penny from 12-3 p.m., and with Sunday Ave later in the evening from 6-9 p.m.
Make it a weekend getaway to New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Guests who book overnight stays at participating Waterville Valley lodging properties receive a Freedom Pass which provides access to canoe and kayak rentals, tennis, golf, bike rentals, admission to the White Mountain Athletic Club’s aquatic and fitness center, scenic chairlift rides up Snows Mountain, and complimentary trolley rides – over $100 value per person, per day.
