The Town Recreation Department offers a full slate of daily activities for all ages. Supervised programs are always age appropriate with great staff-to-children ratios.

After your adventures, relax in our Town Square. Visit our eclectic village shops and find that perfect Waterville Valley memento. Pick up those last minute adventure supplies. Waterville Valley is a great place to experience good theatre, good music, good food and good fun. From Shakespearean theatre to jazz concerts, our mountain village provides a classic setting to your summer fun and adventures.

White Mountain Athletic Club
There's something for everyone at the White Mountain Athletic Club. Take a swim in the indoor and outdoor pools. Work out in the cardio room, lift some weights, or run a few laps on the indoor track that surrounds the tennis pavilion. Then relax in a hot tub, sauna, or steam room.

Fly Fishing on Corcoran's Pond & the Mad River
Step out of the fast lane and step into the Mad River or Corcoran's Pond for some backcountry fly fishing. There's miles of river and plenty to catch. It's a great opportunity for some quality time with the kids, or to get away by yourself.

The Rey Center and Curious George Cottage
The former home of Hans & Margret Rey, creators of the Curious George books, is now a learning and cultural enrichment center for all ages featuring hikes, fishing programs, writing workshops, lectures, book discussion groups, kids reading hours, nature walks, gardening and more.

Local Courses: The Jack O'Lantern in Woodstock, Highland Links in Plymouth, White Mountain Country Club in Ashland, and The Owl's Nest Golf Club, the premier course in New England, offers the region's best 18 holes of play.

For a variety of play, try out nearby Owl's Nest Golf Club, northern New England's premier 18-hole championship course. In addition, there are other 18-hole courses in the area to challenge you.

Swimming
No matter where you are in the Valley, you're never far from water. Most Waterville Valley lodging properties have at least one pool. You'll find indoor, outdoor and kid's pools at the White Mountain Athletic Club. There's also Corcoran's Pond, just a few steps from Town Square. The Cascades, a series of seven cool, refreshing waterfalls and swimming holes are a hike or mountain bike away. There are off-the-beaten path swimming holes around Waterville Valley that you won't find in any tourist guide. Just ask one of our friendly locals.

Waterville Valley Sports Camp
Waterville Valley Sports Camp's "Sports for a Lifetime Academy" is a co-ed residential and day camp for children ages 8-14. AbilityPLUS - Waterville Valley Adaptive Program
AbilityPLUS helps disabled people of all abilities realize their dreams of inclusion through adaptive skiing and other recreational opportunities throughout the year. Adaptive summer sports programs include kayaking, waterskiing, cycling, hiking and camping. AbilityPLUS also provides integrated activities for children with disabilities who attend the Recreation Department's Day Camps in July and August. Reservations required.

Osceola Library
You'll find current bestsellers, children's books and local history at the Osceola Library, located across from Snows Mountain. Residents, property owners and visitors are all welcomed to enjoy the fine selection of books. There's no phone, so you'll have to stop by and visit Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 3-5 p.m. (plus extended hours during the summer).
